Former Liverpool player Alberto Acquilani has revealed that Ghanaian Kevin-Prince Boateng convinced him to join Las Palmas this summer. Both stars featured at AC Milan years back so there is history between them.
Acquilani agreed to a two year deal with the Serie A side.
“Prince told me this is an amazing place to play and I’m looking forward to starting this new chapter in my career. As well as technique and experience, I can offer other physical and mental aspects and footballing characteristics,” the 33-year old disclosed.
The former Premier League player says he is looking forward to the best in the La Liga with the quality players Las Palmas have.
Funny enough, Boateng would not be available to play alongside him as he moved to EintrachtFrankfiurt in a shock move recently. The 30-year old claimed he was moving back to German football due to family requirements.
