AQUILANI IN TALKS WITH LIVERPOOL

Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani’s future at the English club could be known in the next few days after it was revealed that he and his are currently in talks with the club. Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is responsible for bringing former Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani to Anfield for a massive outlay of £ 17 million. However, he has been extremely disappointing during his time at the English club, which has seen him leave the club on a loan deal on numerous occasions in the past. This summer, however, will decide the permanent future of Aquilani.

Liverpool recently appointed manager Brendan Rodgers as a replacement for Kenny Dalglish, who had a terrible second spell with Liverpool as they finished eighth in the table. Brendan Rogers is expected to start an evolution rather than a revolution at the club. He has already said that former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole will be given every opportunity to stay at the club. It remains to be seen if Alberto Aquilani will get the same chance. The 27-year-old has been on loan at AC Milan, who decided not to make his loan move into a permanent one despite being impressive in the matches that he played for the Italian club.

“We had a meeting with English executives but for the time being, nothing has emerged. We expect a response from Liverpool which should arrive within the week. here is absolutely no possibility that Aquilani can become a free agent in order to then decide what to do. I don’t know if he wants to stay at Milan, we shall see. We just have to wait and see what happens and what Liverpool decides,” said Albert Aquilani’s agent Zavaglia in response to the future of his client. Aquilani only has two years left on his current contract with Liverpool.
